When people think about bodybuilding , tend to think of big players in the gym " pumping iron " , but it is much more than that. More or less, we describe the use of resistance training and other exercises to improve the health and appearance of the body. When it comes to exercise , we have two types : anaerobic , lifting weights in general or the use of machines, and aerobics. Both are important , but many bodybuilders focus solely on anaerobic exercises. Aerobic exercise , also known as cardio is important to keep the body low in fat as well as general fitness . Aerobic exercises include running, walking , cycling , team sports such as football and hockey , hiking and more. Often, bodybuilders, just think of the treadmill, stationary bike, etc, and therefore hate aerobics . It is important to find one or more forms of aerobic exercise that you enjoy .
